Temporary limited availability of OM information for Dutch VOG applications

Modified on Mon, 25 Aug at 3:30 PM

What happened?

On 17 July, the Dutch Public Prosecution Service (OM) disconnected its internal systems from the internet as a precaution. As a result, the OM went temporarily offline.

As a consequence, the Judicial Documentation System (JDS) of the Judicial Information Service (Justis) is currently not being updated with the most recent OM information.

What does this mean for Dutch VOG applications?

  • For applications submitted after 18 July, only OM information registered in the JDS up to and including 17 July is available.
  • New OM information after 17 July is temporarily not visible in the JDS and is therefore not included in the assessment.

What does this mean for you?

  • Your VOG application can still be submitted and processed.
  • Please note that OM information during this period is not fully up to date.
  • As long as this measure is in place, a support note will be included in the screening report, so this is clear for both customers and candidates.

Next steps

Once the OM systems are reconnected and the JDS has been updated, the process will resume.
DISA depends on external parties in this matter and has no influence on it. We will of course keep you informed through this communication channel.
